This horseback ride is reserved for young riders between the ages of 16 and 24 and combines history with fun. We explore the ancient paths of the Etruscans, the early inhabitants of Italy - long before the age of the Roman empire, but also enjoy an unforgettable swim with the horses.
From Cornacchino to the Fiora river, along the Etruscan roads. We leave the Fiora valley and reach Saturnia, we follow the Stellata which is the river of thermal waters that comes from the famous waterfalls, we reach the confluence with the Albegna river. In this river there will be a day dedicated to swimming with horses. The route in the saddle will be aimed at reaching the appropriate place along the river. We continue the journey: we leave the field on the river going up the course to the Etruscan Necropolis of Puntone, Catabbio and we return to Cornacchino.

Your riding gear should be comfortable and most importantly, should not be brand new (especially footwear), since new gear often holds unpleasant surprises. The footwear should be comfortable not only for riding, but also for walking, with a hard sole that permits a good contact between foot and stirrup. Footwear with a slick sole and very tight clothing should be avoided. The trousers should be comfortable and robust. You may also need a raincoat , a hat for protection, a portable light, a small knife, swimwear, and a sleeping bag; you should bring along a light jumper for the evening. The belongings together should not be too bulky since there is limited space on the transport vehicle and in the saddlebags. Please avoid suitcases with a hard surface.
Your guide can provide basic medication and will take along a first-aid kit on the trek. Any health conditions that require special medication should be brought to the attention of the guide before departure on the trek. Allergy sufferers should bring their own medicines, as those who suffer allergies from common medications.
