Taste of Trekking

This weekly program is ideal for those approaching the world of horse trekking for the first time. It starts with splendid walks at the Cornacchino to end the week with 3 days of trekking.

Passeggiate a cavallo in Toscana

This program is suitable for those approaching for the first time to horseback trekking. 
7 days full board with 2 riding hours for the first 3 days, followed by 3 full days of horseback travel with overnights stay at the farm. 
During the first 3 days at Cornacchino, there are two hours excursions on horseback, with the afternoons at leisure. 
The following three days are spent trekking. At the end of Wednesday and Thursday, after having taken care of the horses, you return to the Cornacchino ranch by minibus, where we have dinner and a good night's sleep. 
Friday return’s to Cornacchino will be by horse.

On the three days trail we will ride through beech woods, Etruscan Necropolis, Etruscan roads "Vie Cave" cut deep in the tuff rock more than 2000 years ago, Etruscan villages, hills, and beautiful countryside.

    The Horse:

    The guide after a briefing with the participants assigns the horses, that will be confirmed after having seen riding the participants. Horses can be changed at the discretion of the guide or instructor at any time.

    Landscape:

    Dirt roads, trails in the woods and fields, Etruscan caves, meadows, riverbed and short stretches of paved roads.

    Stages:

    About 5 hour riding per day

    Food & beverage:

    Breakfast and dinner in our restaurant. A picnic lunch in the middle of nature.  The picnic is prepared in the morning and taken in the saddlebags.

    Transfer:

    In the evening from the place where the horses remain for the night, a van takes us back to Cornacchino and the next morning brings us to the horses again.

    Equipment:

    Comfortable shoes for walking, avoid boots with smooth soles and clothes too tight, comfortable and robust trousers, raincoat, sun hat, swimsuit.

    Suggestion:

    The program may be modified at any time due to prevailing weather conditions or technical reasons.
