A solid foundation is essential to build a relationship of trust between horse and human and to develop a reliable, calm, and willing partner.
This course is dedicated to the starting and early training of horses and young colts, following a respectful and progressive approach focused on clear communication and mutual understanding.
Our method is based on calmness, respect, and gradual progression, encouraging the horse to learn through positive experiences and by engaging its natural curiosity.
The goal is not to force behavior, but to create the right conditions so that the horse can:
• Feel safe
• Understand what is being asked
• Respond in a calm and cooperative way
For horses that show fear, resistance, or behavioral difficulties, we use a targeted sequence of experiences designed to help them overcome negative reactions and strengthen confidence and security.
The course demonstrates how modern training techniques, based on play, communication, and observation, can lead to immediate and long-lasting results.
Participants will gain:
• Practical tools to start and work with horses and young colts
• Improved ability to read and understand equine behavior
• An approach that supports well-being and cooperation
At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of participation.
The program combines theory and practice to offer a complete, hands-on, and easily applicable learning experience.
The course includes:
• Theoretical lessons to deepen the understanding of the human–horse relationship
• Round pen demonstrations to observe the method in action
• Practical exercises with young horses of different ages
This approach allows participants to learn in a simple way and immediately apply the skills acquired.
The course is designed for:
• Horse professionals and breeders
• Horse owners
• Riders and horse enthusiasts
It is suitable for anyone who wishes to deepen their understanding of training in a respectful, conscious, and innovative way, even without being a professional.
The course is taught by Fabio Tascone, farrier, riding instructor, and trainer, with many years of experience gained in a wide range of working contexts with horses.
His philosophy is centered on animal welfare and on building a healthy and cooperative relationship between horse and human.
Fabio has developed a personal method for starting horses and young colts, combining behavioral observation, deep knowledge, and hands-on experience.
During the course, he will share this wealth of experience, guiding participants in learning and practically applying his method.
During your stay, you will be warmly looked after by our cooks, who prepare healthy, wholesome meals made with care and attention, designed to support the body and accompany the activities of the day.
Our kitchen takes into account the main dietary needs and choices, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
If you wish to enjoy an even deeper experience of grounding and connection with nature, in addition to staying in our comfortable rooms, you will also have the opportunity to sleep in one of our tepees: romantic, spacious, and cozy, surrounded by the silence of the forest and gently accompanied by the call of owls.
An invitation to slow down and reconnect with the natural rhythm of the days, among horses, good food, and moments of genuine relaxation, peace, and well-being.
The price is for each person, and it includes the equipment to use during the whole course, for the practical section and the use of horses for the exercises.
It is possible to participate with one's own horse or foal (horse boarding is not included).
In the afternoon, horseback rides or other lessons are possible, not included in the price.
Every lesson of the course will be composed of exercises and practical demonstrations supported by theory. This combination will allow the participants a more direct and whole experience, making learning simpler and more advantageous. Practical demonstrations with foals of different ages and the participants will perform exercises with horses as expected.
