Maremma Natural Park trail

We explore the Maremma, starting from Cornacchino, all the way down until we reach the sea. The ride follows the wilderness of the Fiora river and Albegna river valleys, on hills and through vineyards and olive trees, until we get to the Maremma Parc and discover the Mediterranean wood, special plants and the sea coast.

This trail brings us from Cornacchino to the sea coast, travelling through the Maremma. For the first few days we ride through canyons cut by the Etruscans over 2000 years ago and, beside the Fiora and Albegna rivers, where, if the weather allows it, we swim with our horses. The ride continues in the Tuscan countryside, on hills and through vineyards and olive trees until we reach the Maremma Parc. We continue this adventure in the Maremma Parc, enjoying gorgeous view over the sea and seeing rich flora and fauna. We end this trail with an unforgettable ride on the beach.

The highlights

    • Swimming in the river with the horses
    • Rides through olive trees and vineyards
    • Tasting the excellent Morellino wine and traditional home cooking
    • Riding in the Maremma state reserve of “Parco dell’Uccellina”
    • Riding on the beach
